These terms cover your use of this website, and explain the limits of the dental information published on it.

1. About this website
This website is published by FTS Chin Dental Surgery Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No. 202101038781 (1439081-H)), which operates the private dental clinic Klinik Pergigian F.T.S. Chin at Lot 20, Block B, First Floor, Plaza Juta Likas, Jalan Tuaran Lama, Likas, Kota Kinabalu 88400, Sabah under the trading name FTS Chin Dental. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Medical information disclaimer
The dental information on this website is general information only. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for seeing a dentist.
Every mouth is different. A treatment described on this site may not be appropriate for you, and any treatment is conditional on a satisfactory clinical assessment being carried out first. What is right for one patient can be wrong for another with an apparently similar problem.
Please do not use anything on this site to diagnose yourself, to decide against seeing a dentist, or to delay treatment you have been advised to have. If you have a dental problem, come and be examined.
3. No dentist–patient relationship
Reading this website, or sending us a WhatsApp message or an enquiry, does not by itself make you our patient and does not create a dentist–patient relationship. That relationship begins when you attend the clinic and we examine you. Until then we cannot give you clinical advice about your own mouth, however we may be able to answer general questions.
4. In an emergency
This website is not monitored around the clock and WhatsApp messages are usually answered during clinic hours (Mon–Wed & Fri–Sat 9am–5pm · Thu 9am–1pm (half day) · Sun closed). If you have severe pain, facial swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, or an injury following an accident, do not wait for a reply — go to the nearest hospital emergency department or call 999.
5. Prices and accuracy
Any price shown on this site is indicative and is subject to examination — the treatment you actually need may differ from the treatment you expected. We will always explain the cost to you before treatment begins.
We take care to keep this website accurate and up to date, and the date it was last reviewed is shown in the footer. Even so, clinical practice changes and errors are possible. We do not warrant that every page is complete, current or free of error.
6. Links to other websites
Where we link to another organisation's website, we do so because we think it may be useful. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
7. Our content
The text, images, illustrations, layout and design of this website belong to FTS Chin Dental or are used with permission. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own personal or non-commercial use. Please do not republish, copy or adapt our content for commercial purposes without asking us first. Trade marks and product names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners.
8. Limits of our responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss arising from your reliance on the general information published on this website, or from the site being unavailable or interrupted.
This does not limit our responsibility for the dental care we actually provide to you at the clinic. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any duty we owe you as your dentist, any liability we cannot lawfully exclude, or any right you have under Malaysian law.
9. Your privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out separately in our Privacy Policy, which is published in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date they were last reviewed is shown at the top of this page.
